I’ve been writing and recording since I was 12 (now 21). I went to school for film, creative writing, and philosophy. Flunked out each time, each semester. Now I'm living on my own, pursuing music literally as many hours a day as I can.
I can play guitar, although I’m probably not experienced enough for session work. Same goes with piano and bass guitar. I’ve been producing and engineering hip-hop-based music/instrumentation for 2-2.5 years. I’m mainly looking to outsource professional instrumental and engineering work for a new project.
P.S. - I am looking for serious musicians, producers, engineers, etc. to group up with in pursuit of my current project. I'm going for an experimental hip-hop project (Ariel Pink meets Death Grips, meets Kendrick, Mac Demarco; throw in some grunge and emo, etc.) If you're interested, hmu. I'm a driven and extremely focused individual, with a lot of good ideas for music.
P.S.S. - My cousin and I have our own house, w/ in-home studio. If you're in need of a place to record (instead of your car), send me a message. You could most likely come through our place and work on music for free. We always welcome new faces, especially if you're into the music-making process.
Pretty spare setup as of now, but about to get a whole bunch of new gear. Currently, I have:
- MacBook w/ Logic Pro X
- Alesis 49 MIDI Keyboard
- Couple pairs of nice, studio-quality headphones
- JBL studio monitors
- Old school TASCAM 4-Track Tape Deck Cassette Recorder. (For all of your Mac-Demarco-Vibe needs)
- A real, 80's, vintage drum-machine: The Alesis SR7.
- A kick-ass, real Fender Strat. Super expensive.
- A decent bass guitar
- A decent acoustic guitar
- Liquor
