For recording guitars, I own amp sims like Bias FX, Amplitube 3 & 4, and Guitar Rig 5.
I can also mic up an amp optionally. However I'd still prefer amp sims as they provide more editing and reamping convenience.
I play mainly rock, pop, metal, gospel and some jazz, and wouldn't mind to funk you.

I mix in Pro Tools, but record in Reaper (Cause I like the workflow of it for recording), and own plugins like FabFilter, T-Racks, and loads of other miscellaneous plugins.
As a studio guy I'm able to do drum programming as well.
