Recording Setup

Acoustic: Takamine 0-1328 classical, 12-string Mitchell D120S12 and Ibanez EW-20 mini-jumbo. Miked with Shure SM-57 and Audio-Technica AT2020 condenser.
Piddle on the mandolin and banjo sometimes, it's not too horrible.

For electric guitar, I use a Blackstar HT studio tube amp with a couple of tasteful stomp box effects, but run a very simple rig and let the fingers do the work. Guitar pairings are a 2002 Mex Stratocaster with some personal mods and an Ibanez Prestige (2570) with aftermarket electronics.

Bass rig is a simple 5-string Jazz Bass or 6-string LTD B-206, and Ampeg 40w with a mic, or direct input with EQ and compression. Amplitude 5 has some great plugin options that I use as well, the Gallien-Kreuger modelling is impressive! Depends on how I feel and what the song is doing.

Recording setup: Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 interface with JBL LSR305 monitors, DAW is Mixcraft 9 Pro. Laugh if you want but it's clean and does what I need, I'm happy. Superior Drummer 3 software.
