Started as a home recording enthusiast about fifteen years ago. I have enjoyed a lifelong passion for music, songwriting and audio production. Fortunately, I have been able to turn that passion into a career with my event audio-services business. My client list includes a number of major companies, so it definitely keeps me (too) busy.
A few years ago, I decided to pursue a dream of mine, which was to earn my degree in composition. I'm currently enrolled in Berklee College of Music's online composition program. It's been a huge challenge but also very rewarding. Working with others in the program has encouraged me to make a more serious effort to produce my compositions and songs, which brings me here.
I'm a decent multi-instrumentalist, but quality production takes a lot of time that I don't have! Also, my own vocals don't suit every piece I write. Because of this, I'm looking for a hub of talented musicians to lend a hand. Except in the case of a co-write, my projects will be work for hire. I need to retain royalty rights and ownership of the recording, but I also believe in paying people for their work and talent. That being said, you can't buy enthusiasm or professionalism, which is why my philosophy is to build long term musical relationships. When I find someone good, I like to stick with them.
As I post more projects, drop me a line if you think you'd like to be in on it!
Best,
Allen
Pro Tools; Waves plugins; Roland Quad-Capture; a number of guitars, bass and midi instruments; but I spend most of my life starting at Sibelius (until my eyeballs fall out).
