Ian Lefkowitz, also known as Ludlow, is a Detroit native with a striking passion for music that runs deep in his veins. A multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and seasoned producer, Ludlow’s musical roots date all the way back to his adolescence. At just 13 years old, Ian landed his first internship at FBT Studios, working under the guidance of the Bass Brothers, the producers behind Eminem's success. This opportunity opened the floodgates and led to collaborations with other young, prominent Detroit artists, the likes of which include Big Sean.
Post-high school, Ian embarked on a solo EDM career under the moniker Elfkowitz. During his productive six-year period as Elfkowitz, Ian released several projects on various record labels, earning him recognition as a prolific producer of the era. Building off this success, Ian opened his first studio in Chicago, shifting his focus toward artist collaborations across multiple genres.
It was then that he took the name Ludlow as a tribute to the street he grew up on and marked a new chapter in his career.
Upon his return to Chicago, Ian found himself in the epicenter of a musical renaissance for young artists, with his new studio becoming a vital hub of activity. Collaborations with artists like Taylor Bennett, King Louie, Joey Purp, and Chance the Rapper quickly established Ludlow as a crucial collaborator and driving force in the Chicago music scene. Today, Ian can be found in LA running his third studio, still fiercely committed to working with artists across all genres. He maintains an open-minded approach to creativity that allows him to push his production capabilities to incredible new heights.
