Mark Cavage is a multi-instrumentalist who formerly toured and recorded with the bluegrass band The Grassy Knoll Boys. Mark started playing banjo at the age of 16, and hasn't stopped learning music or more instruments since then. Soon after learning bluegrass banjo, Mark picked up guitar, and branched out to playing jazz and blues along with bluegrass. Shortly after moving to Austin, TX at the age of 21, Mark spent 5 years playing shows across the country as a founding member of The Grassy Knoll Boys, including showcases at South by Southwest and major bluegrass festivals such as Grey Fox and Wintergrass. For almost 20 years since then he's played banjo and guitar in a number of bands and done session recordings for television, film, and internet. Most recently, Mark has dedicated his time to non-profits, with his most recent work being under the moniker of the Critter Collective; Mark composed all of the music for Critter, and contributed guitars, banjo and keyboards to the album.
