I am an enthusiastic violinist with over 9 years experience with the instrument. I play songs of many genres ranging from pop to Indian Carnatic.
I decided to start learning the violin at age 10 after attending a concert with my parents. It then took me 6 years to achieve a Distinction at the diploma level with OEBL and 7 years to pass the ABRSM music exams with a Distinction at grade 8. Ever since, I have been performing at events ranging from birthday parties to the annual Cambridge Indian Cultural Festival.
Even though the bulk of my performances have been classical in nature, I can play a wide range of genres from pop to Indian carnatic music. I attribute this to learning from a wide range of teachers.
I use a Yamaha SV-104 Electric violin to record my music directly into the computer. I have experimented with recording acoustic violins with mics, but I personally found the electric violin more appealing. If requested to, however, I can play with my acoustic violin, a Primavera Loreato.
The price will heavily depend on what you want me to do. For example composing or improvising will cost more than being asked to play from a pre-written sheet music score. Therefore please message me for individual prices.
