Can I post my project to my portfolio instead of to the music store? I was told by one of my collaborators that I should do that in order to avoid any potential copyright issues since the melody of my song is taken from "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees (in case you don't know of them, they recorded a lot of music in the late 70s and early 80s, and "Stayin' Alive" was one of their big hits and was featured in the movie "Saturday Night Fever")
