To search for a singer, you can go to the menu item Community->Find Artist and type 'vocal' into the 'talent' box. You should then get a list of vocalists on the site. The more active members will appear at the top of the list.
And yes, everyone is searching for singers, they are a hot commodity around these parts. Speaking of, if you are willing to pay for vocals, you might have more luck using the 'work for hire' feature in your project, to put a price on it.
It can take some time, but the best route to collaborating will be to get active on the site and build your reputation, and to interact by listening to tracks and commenting on other member's projects.
Hope that helps. Welcome to the site!
I agree with MonkeyC, vocalists are the most sought after musicians - and being active, joining in on projects and getting yourself known will play a big part in attracting collaborators.
You can try inviting one of the vocalists you think would work with your music, it’s always worth a try.
Good luck and welcome to ProCollabs :-)

The same problem as the OP, is the same with me, in finding not just singers, but other artists too, I spent a whole day going through every artist in the list from A to Z, and only those that are willing to sell their services have actual demo tracks for potential collaborators, the others have nothing not even a project, so that would mean nobody can tell what that artists is capable of, especially if a singer. Potential collaborators need to know what that singer sounds like, and if that singer has the right sound for a particular project, the same goes for other talents too, but by not uploading a demo track, and just having an empty account, would turn away potential collaborators.
I can only speak for myself and my experiences here at ProCollabs.
Regarding the whole accounts (vocals) without links, demos but also others with at least working links are fake accounts.
I've found that links work and there are nice demos to listen to, but the links have nothing to do with the user who is logged in here.
I've written to hundreds of accounts here, but never got an answer.
Mainly vocals.
That's why I wrote to the users directly on the linked pages such as Soundcloud. Then it turned out that hardly anyone is linked to ProCollabs.
I don't want to say that there are only fake accounts here, but there are a striking number of them.
We're notified daily of new members here, but none of them respond to personal requests, nor have any of them ever created a project. (it doesn't affect every account) and I've given up writing to anyone.
This whole collaboration concept was once a good idea, but it's completely outdated now. It's too tiring for me. I just want to make some music and not spend hours texting accounts that never reply.
The times have changed. There are now completely different concepts on the web for finding musicians. Easier, faster. Some free others cheap and some expensive. From the drummer to the mixing engineer, everything is included and not fake.

Can you please clarify what you mean about "fake" accounts? Because I personally screen every single account that registers on ProCollabs, and I can assure you, they are real.
When someone joins, they need to provide a website/link to their music - many times it is a Google drive link. We do this to verify that it is a real person and not a bot, or a spammer. Could it still be a spammer, sure - but if/when they are discovered, we delete their account.
We can't stop members from deleting their website links either, that is their choice - although I have no idea why they would, but I have seen that on many occasions.
I'm sorry to hear that you are having a bad experience here.
