Hi all, I just got approved and before I start new projects, I'll have a look around first and see how things are done, but first, I know the preferred sample rate is 24bit 44.1Khz, what format? MP3, WAV, Flac, WMA,,,I mostly record in 24bit 44.1Khz and save as WAV.
What do ya'll here call separate tracks? Stems, Seps, or any other name? Do ya'll prefer 'stems' as well as the master mix, be uploaded or just the master mix? And do you use a sync tone at the beginning of the master track?

Hi Fred - welcome to the site! :)
I would say, if you are auditioning for a project, definitely submit an mp3.
If you're starting your own project, WAV's are ideal when uploading the seps - but for the basic 'idea' track, an mp3 will suffice.
We pretty much call separate tracks 'seps'. Some folk prefer to work off stems, so really, it's up to you if you'd like to upload a stem as well as seps.
I do appreciate when sync tones are added, but some members aren't bothered by it.
Welcome again, I look forward to hearing your music. :)
