My experiences with collaboration so far, in the Materia Collective (VGM covers) I had to go through a signup process where I registered my paypal account and name with them. When I contribute to a track that is distributed by Materia my account is then tied to that track and I earn a percentage of each sale through their various platforms.
Is it up to the individual collaborators here, which platforms are used to distribute the music that is created or is it a free for all where each contributor is allowed to sell the track on their preferred platform, or is it down to the project leaders who hold the initial copyright to distribute and payout accordingly, or something else?
