Project Summary

Description: I'm looking for an introductory tune to a musical based on mental struggle and trying to be accepted in the high-standard social pyramid of high school. I'm only looking for the music itself, not lyrics, however that's not to say you can't include lyrics you think would work with the music.

Project brief: I'd like it to be pretty peppy, introducing the characters in a positive manner and not yet reaching into the negative side of things. The bridge however, I'd like to be pretty quiet in almost a suppressed or condensed manner, but then bounce right back into the positive vibe. I'm thinking of something along a typical musical introduction, beginning with some simple piano and climbing into something fast paced but not hyper per-se. The scene itself is of the main character (Alex) getting ready for school, and running around his house to grab his things, then walking to the school, ending when he walks through the doors. Positive as it is, I think it'd be comedic and pretty foreshadowing for him to have one last line at the end of the song where the music pauses, and then has one last "BAM" to it when he slams the door. There's tons of freedom in how you'd like to make this tune, and it can include whatever instrumentation you'd like, although I don't want it too crammed. The length of this should be at least two minutes, but can go past that if desired. If there's any other questions regarding this project, I'd be totally open to answering them... Good luck, and thank you so much!
