Project Summary

Description: Project created in order to participate in the procollabs cover song challenge. Piano by Janie Langlois-Brunet. Vocals by RockHarvester. I would like to add some more sounds to the mix to help fill it out. Percussion, pads, and/or orchestra (cello) are a few possibilities. I am also not great at mixing. I will do my best, but if you know your way around mixing please jump in as well!

Project brief: I recorded a piano ballad version of "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons last winter and I licensed and released it through distrokid a few months ago. I am happy with the way it turned out, but I would love to add something to the mix. Something to help fill in the mix and add emphasis to the crescendos. Unfortunately, the drive that I had all my original mix data stored on died a few weeks ago. Luckily I store the masters on a seperate drive, but all my original stems are gone. All I have is the piano and the finished version. So that just means that I get to have the fun of recording the vocals again! If this sounds interesting please join me!

For audio file uploads, please use: 24 bit, 44.1 kHz

Lyrics

I'm waking up to ash and dust I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust I'm breathing in the chemicals [Inhale, exhale] I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus This is it, the apocalypse I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones Enough to make my system blow Welcome to the new age, to the new age To the new age, to the new age I am radioactive I am radioactive I raise my flag and dye my clothes It's a revolution, I suppose We're painted red to fit right in I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus This is it, the apocalypse I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones Enough to make my system blow Welcome to the new age, to the new age To the new age, to the new age I am radioactive I am radioactive All systems go, the sun hasn't died Deep in my bones, straight from inside I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones Enough to make my system blow Welcome to the new age, to the new age To the new age, to the new age I am radioactive I am radioactive
