Description: The fire was 84% contained as of 6 PM on Saturday, January 25th. It has burned more than 23,400 acres. So far, 6,809 structures have been destroyed and 972 damaged. Officials have confirmed that 11 people are dead.
Project brief: The MIDI bass is just a placeholder. The instrumentation can be completely different. If necessary, I can make adjustments to the vocals.

Choking on the smoke of falling embers Running to escape a moving wall of flames I weave through rows of abandoned vehicles While a frantic neighbor calls her husband's name Clutching the hands of two young children I try to mask my own concern By giving words of reassurance As another row of homes begins to burn Have you ever watched in desperation As a bulldozer struggles to clear the way Only to see fire brigades race into danger Till their sirens pass then slowly fade away? Clutching the hands of two young children I try to mask my own concern By giving words of reassurance As another row of homes begins to burn Has misfortune ever made you homeless And left you pleading on your hands and knees Only to find a missing loved one Buried in the ashes of fallen debris?
