Waiting For The Sun

As the morning light slips through the door I awake for the first time All around streaks the dappling light Scent of rose kissed the air But I’ve No memory of this place at all Since the light touched my eyes I’ve been running towards Here I am Still waiting Waiting for the sun The air is crisp as the morning explodes I step slowly out the door The leaves at my feet stick to me and I stumble I still have much to learn, aha As i rise to the sky Must I always rely on your guidance? Now i see where I stumbled I’m a fire light dipped in the sun Here I am It’s just me Waiting for the sun As the day melts away I dissolve All the leaves from the tree start to fall Oh to sleep for a while Just to rest my desire In this moment of time I’m not waiting for this sun to fall Since my eyes touched the sky I’ve been running towards It’s not me Still waiting Waiting for the sun
