Hello Ghouls & Gals, we'd like to announce the very first ProCollabs challenge!
What better way to get the ball rolling than with a Haunted Halloween theme?
The goal is for collaborators to create the most awesome Halloween song ever! Sounds easy enough, right? Well, there is one wacky stipulation. The song must include lyrics, and within those awesome lyrics must include the words 'Haunted' & 'Halloween'- everything else is fair game.
How Things Will Work and Challenge Deadlines:
Registration will open on September 20th and close on October 10th. - 11:59pm. Make sure to put your name down before the deadline.
Teams Selection
There will be no solo gigs! Collaboration team pairings of two or more members (randomly chosen by us) will be first announced on October 1st and new teams will continue to be announced all the way until registration closes on October 10th. Once your team has been assigned, you can begin your spooky project. It's up to the collaborators to decide who will be the Project Director.
Team Entries
The finished song must be published into the Music Library no later than midnight, October 28th. We'll be checking that you've met all of the challenge criteria and followed the rules before giving you the thumbs up! If you're unsure or need help with closing or completing your song, please see Raven or MonkeyC for assistance.
Voting and Winning
In the near future, the contests will be open to public voting. But for now, the songs will be judged 'unbiased' by some of our musician friends. (Not site members) We will announce the winners on October 31st.
Prizes
There will be some small prizes given to the collaborators who come in first and second place. But don't get too excited, as the most important prize will be bragging rights, along with a ProCollabs Grammy Award!
Some Rules
* Your project must be a 'Public by Invite' project
* Your project must use the Equal Shares collaboration agreement
* Any member can enter. Moderators and the like sadly cannot.
* Your song must be original, 100% written, recorded, and produced by the team members
* Your cover art must be original and created 100% by the team members
* Only one entry per team is allowed.
We've created a forum thread called 'Halloween Challenge', under a new category, 'Contests'. From there, you'll be able to register, as well as find the rules, updates, see other contestants who've entered, and keep track as the contest progresses. We'll be using the forum as our go-to for contest communications.
So get over to the forum now and make sure to get your name down! Btw, we've mentioned some dates and deadlines. FYI - they are all based on United States Eastern Time (EST)

Below you'll find the rules – if you’re up for the challenge, please jump in and let us know by saying, "I’m in" or "hec yeah, I'm ready" – or whatever ya like.
