I started saxophone at 12, I been singing as long.
However, really took it to another level when I record and write songs daily. I record and write in my phone. I create a chord progression that I often use borrow from a jazz tune. I with a list of ideas that the chords give me lyricaly. Then I mumble -scat the chorus bridge and verses. I come up with wordplsy pretty well because I also do free style hip hop. I would say my vocals sound like a mix of Bobby Womack, Anthony Hamilton, Donnie Hathaway,Teddy Pensergrass and Al Green.
My inspirations on tenor sax would be Stanley Turrentine, Micheal Becker, Chris Potter And Lenny picket.
I also play keys using extended chords and jazz harmony.
I have a 1966 teno Martin sax, A brilheart over 8 metal mouthpiece, a Korg and midi keyboard.
A Dell laptop I use with Mixcraft studio 9 daw and fl studio. I use many vsts for a Hammond B3 or Rhodes or pianos or strings or bass exedra.
I have a few condencoe mics but I use the nt1 -a the most, I got pro studio earphone, studio monitors,a Sternberg interface
