Part 1 Searching through my dusty cob webbed mind Beside my fearful dreams Memories of our haunted Halloween you touched me, you made me blind If only you could stay For one moment of each day I'd pluck the wings From all the monsters that you made If only you could sway My mother to repay The butcher as he cuts another slice My skin's so nice The blood drips pools upon the floor I sink slowly ever more Towards the morning light Drenched in blood My heart has stopped Mother, mother where are you Part 2 You’re back with me, now (it’s that time of year) It’s Halloween, again (the blood’s back on the floor) I wish you’d leave, old friend (you want me to go) I don’t think you can let me go.
