I used to sing Becker,Fagan and Steely Dan,in particular"Hey Nineteen" in the girls bathroom with the fellas and with the door open
so the girls could hear us sing the harmonies.I favored,The Doobie's, Journey songs back then and still today.I think my all time favorite would be "Just My Imagination",by The Temptations. The reason,I quess is that in school it was that one girl you thought about that way.Usually a senior girl, that was a knock out of park beauty, and being an underclassman, you doubted yourself. The funny thing is,later on down the road, you see that same girl that's a woman now at the club you're playing and it turns out, she liked you back then as well.

Of course, Michael Mcdonald sings backing on some Steely dan tracks. But did the vocal harmonies win the girls?

Yeah,it actually did. When we first start singing in the schools bathroom, we notice girls attitudes changed,so we were in there singing every day, lol.Yeah,I forgot Mike McDonald was also part of Steely Dan before The Doobies. He joined them of course after Tom Johnston.Great memories of that wonderful seventies music, that had everything.

Another one of my faves. "I'd kill myself for you, I'd kill you for myself" - just brilliant!
'Edit' good grief, another broken link!

Morgan, you sound as nostalgic as I am about the seventies? Life and music did seem better back then, or is that my aging memory?

Dani, I never knew you were into "Metal". I liked much of what Pantera did, but feel some of the stuff became so heavy and horrible sounding just for the sake of it. Vulgar display was the right balance.

Oh yeah, Metal is my favorite genre to listen to. I saw Pantera in concert when they opened for Skid Row in the early 90's, they were incredible! :)

I saw Skid row once, they were supporting Guns and roses...long time ago!
